The mattress Bicofoam-Spring ® is composed of two different layers of high quality foams:
- The base is a polyurethane foam core of high density (56Kg/m3) with 14 cm thick, manufactured under a unique foam spring system independent of each other, acting as a spring that flexes while supporting the weight body adapted to each position or movement of each patient.
- The upper part is a layer of viscoelastic foam, a polyurethane material innovative touch thermosensitive viscous and adapts to the body shape with the own temperature. Has a thickness of 4 cm, a density of 50 kg/m3 and a particularly high hardness of (4.3 kPa) that provides greater resistance to deformation without losing the properties of bedsores preventive heavy patients. A too soft viscoelastic ineffective because the patient would crush and supported almost on the base.
System formed by both parties get a balanced distribution of weight: the base provides firm support while the top of viscoelastic allows the body to rest on its own form, increasing the contact surface and thus distributing pressure on the skin, reducing the risk of pressure bedsores motivated by capillary occlusion and or lack of correct blood flow. All this without leaving the comfort that the mattress provides the user thanks to the feeling of weightlessness that gives this material.

The mattress is covered by a polyurethane bielastic fabric (elastic on both axles, width and length) of dark green, waterproof and breathable, anti-dust mite, biocompatible and washable. With zipper lateral to move easier in one case it was necessary to change, although the cover but is not an indispensable accessory product also allows cleaning placed on the mattress.
